I got this gas can recently and gave it a go. It seals tight for transport without any odor of gas or spilling even when bounced over a country road in the back of a pickup. Very sturdy construction and the dimensions make storage next to the wheel well a perfect place. Consider getting the metal mount for it, which makes it very easy to hold the can in place. One caveat on the can. Drill through the CARB junk in the spout or replace it with one of the old style gas can spouts if you have one. Otherwise, folks may start holding up scoring cards when they see the acrobatics that you have to go through to hold the can, press it against the tank opening, and tilt it. In spite of this, I've given the can 5 stars because the spout issue isn't unique to this can....they all have this problem now. Thanks, CARB!

I looked for Jerry cans and found them quite expensive and not always in real good condition so I took a chance on these cans. I was pleased when I received these cans and noted the gage of the steel and the overall construction. These are good cans and a very good alternative to Jerry cans unless you are trying to restore a vintage military vehicle.
The main draw back for me was there is no way to lock the filler spout so I only place the cans in my truck when I need them and I plan to be nearby at all times. The spout (for now-a-days) I suppose meets all of the DOT requirements etc. It is a twist and push and pour type. Will be difficult if the can is full and you are trying to lift it to fill a small filler hole. I purchased a fuel siphon/transfer hose so I do not have to lift the cans and I just remove the pour spout altogether. Because my cans are mounted higher in the truck than the fuel filler neck I could just siphon fuel. So, the nozzle is important to me only to prevent spillage and/or contamination.
I did find a way to lock the can in the truck via the straps shown in the photo's I posted. I found a seller on EBay that custom made these straps for my cans and charged the regular price he charges for Jerry can straps, the seller is "rhetoric98" and he was most helpful in getting exactly what I needed.
Overall I like the cans, they are well constructed and have the look and feel of Jerry cans, good gage steel and a reasonable price.

Purchased can for an extended trip out west recently that include the White Rim Road 4wd trip in Canyonlands National Park, in my Jeep Wrangler. Read mixed reviews of this can online due to problems getting spout to work. So I brought a large funnel along also. Ended up frustrated with the spout and refilling Jeep using a separate funnel. Was only can I found online at the time. Will play with it at home and either figure it out, alter as some reviewers, or just carry a funnel. Can good, seals well, but spout a loser.
